NJ UFOs and the Lightning-Struck Tower

Puzzling Evidence Dept.: The recent UFO/earthquake flaps in New Jersey centered around Morris County. The county seal has a curious feature- a burning tower, oddly reminiscent of the Tower trump in the Tarot. According to the county website:

The flaming castle turret at the top of the Coat of Arms, resting on a horizontal length of rope, is reminiscent of a Morris family castle in England which was destroyed by fire. Below that is the knight's armored headgear, visor down. The top of the armored breastplate overlaps a shield divided into four equal squares. The two series of three circles each represent coins. The lions facing left denote courage.
In fact, we have a neat semiotic history of the progression from Mithraism (the lions) to the Templars (the knight) to Freemasonry (two sets of three coins encoding 33) all done up in beautiful Solar colors. Morris is derived from Maurus, meaning dark-skinned, coming from the root moro, which can also translate as "black." Bonus factoid: The Egyptians called their country Kemet, coming from their word for black.

Morris County was also the headquarters of the Revolutionary Army during the Cold War, giving the mysterious earthquakes and UFO sightings added resonance.

Some Tarot scholars tie the Tower trump to the Tower of Babel in the Book of Genesis. Like many other tales in the Bible, the story has a Sumerian precedent. From the wiki:
There is a Sumerian myth similar to that of the Tower of Babel, called Enmerkar and the Lord of Aratta, where Enmerkar of Uruk is building a massive ziggurat in Eridu and demands a tribute of precious materials from Aratta for its construction, at one point reciting an incantation imploring the god Enki to restore (or in Kramer's translation, to disrupt) the linguistic unity of the inhabited regions — named as Shubur, Hamazi, Sumer, Uri-ki (Akkad), and the Martu land, "the whole universe, the well-guarded people — may they all address Enlil together in a single language."
Zechariah Sitchin saw the Tower of Babel story as a record of the construction of a launch pad for a vehicle where men could reach the stars, as did the gods. Interesting in light of current events we've been looking at here and on the Secret Sun. I'll continue to monitor this story.

Hey Chris are you a fan of Peter Lamborn Wilson/Hakim Bey? When you start invoking the Moors a whole chamber opens in my brain from The Moorish Orthodox Radio Crusade show on WBAI and articles in GNOSIS about 'dispersionism' and prehistoric Atlantic Coast sea trade between the Moors and the Fo-mor-ians... http://www.hermetic.com/bey/blackthorn.html

i heard the Moors were black and had a tie-in relationship with the Black Pharoahs.

I saw Bey do a poetry reading in Greenwich Village where he talked about picking up young boys in Times Square or something. It was interesting, to say the least.
