Related to "hallucinations", I just woke up from an extremely vivid dream where my ex-girlfriend attempted to commit suicide. She jumped off my roof and I caught her by the jacket through a window before she fell all the way. Probably the worst nightmare I've ever had in my life, because I thought it was really happening. I am also seeing "ghosts" in my dreams now, in this one there was a girl with hair over her face wearing white (like in in any japanese horror movie).
Hmmm... I have been having some strange ones myself too. It's almost like there is a paradigm shift in consciousness and I am in the midst of. Sometimes when I wake up, I notice lights on or doors open, when I had earlier left them off or closed respectively. Earlier my computer rebooted to the login screen, during a cat nap with the missus. She is now perplexed as I am.
It appears the Sekhmet festival, which I mentioned a few days ago on my blog (in Shields Up!) may have been linked (like a 2 birds with 1 stone thing) to the Druidic fertility and Osirian Death-Resurrection...

It is interesting that she's pictured as a "goddess" with a GREEN lion head.
Gods and Goddesses of Egypt are really more of "concepts" and symbols to explain something rather than "worshipped gods", but now's not the time for that very long post...
The destruction wreaked by Sekhmet was stopped because "Red Dyed Beer" was poured out on the land. When the blood-drinking Sekhmet encountered the red beer she drank it thinking it was blood. She got drunk and fell asleep and when she woke "she forgot" her destructive rage.
St. Patris Dei - seems to be the joining of the two days, beer for Sekhmet and festivities for "Saint Pater / Patris" Osiris.
Green for Sekhmet's green lion head and green for the living and resurrected Osiris as lord of vegetation (crops).
A feast which also lets us shake off the crazy "cabin fever" of the winter months and celebrate the return of the "green" (resurrected) spring vegetation, the beer, symbolically, prevents the drought of an overly hot year of Sun.
Though this year, it also carries the underlying tone of the "Green Agenda", linked to various UN elites, including Mikail Gorbachev's Green Cross Int'l and the Earth Charter Initiative.

I'm writing a more in-depth (and explained) look at all of this confusing history and etymology, which I'll hopefully have up on my blog later today or tomorrow.

Thanks for re-posting that Leprechaun story-- I missed it the first time around. Interesting to hear about your history of childhood illness and hallucinations. I too suffered from respiratory infections-- mostly bronchitis and pneumonia.
When it would get bad (high fever) I would start hallucinating like a mother. They would often turn into waking hallucinations and would involve me running around the house screaming bloody murder (my poor parents) about people trying to attack me. The only way my parents could get me out of it was to hold me down and force feed me ice-cream. I remember them quite clearly to this day-- the word TERROR comes to mind. The weird thing was that it was always the exact same hallucination.
I had never thought about in terms of shamanic ritual... but yea, I guess if we had lived in a south American village that's how they would have viewed it. Interesting.
Andre-- I think you're right about a paradigm shift. There's a crackle in the air. I've had some very odd experiences over the past year-- and I never had stuff like that happen before. I think the universe is becoming responsive. The collective unconscious isn't so UN-conscious anymore.

I've said it before and I'll post it again.
Having NO FEAR is extremely important these days.
On another note...
The beer drinking, Sekhmet and St.Patris Dei,
