Sci-Fi Americas: Boy, talk about Synchonicity...

Imagine two Americas, one almost entirely urban, technocratic and information-based, one mostly rural/exurban and working class, very much in the resource/producer colony mode. Sci-fi? For now, sure. But if you can't speculate on a blog like this one, where can you?

But I wonder if the global decision-makers are doing a bit more than speculating, and are using talk radio and the news media to bring these new Americas about. Like Fox News' recent "tea party" protests, for example. Here's what the rest of the world is watching on rival network CNN:

Wow.

Huffpost claims it's not playing too well with the unconverted, but they're not exactly unbiased observers. CIA-alumni Kos noted that these kinds of rallies bring out the weirdos, no matter what side they are on. Which prompted this comment:

Just as the percentage of difference in the genetic code between chimps and humans is very small, the difference between the Democrats and the Republican is smaller than most people realize.

Looks like a setup every which way, the networks are playing their red/blue card game , theres no civil debate or even a smoldering of good reporting on these issues. "Fascism" sadly is a word thrown around with some kind of stigma attached, as if we aren't already living in a fascist society...our culture is so intellectually bankrupt the average fools take sides, both being rigged to snap there legs off, replacing them with Blackberry's or CAT treads.

PROBLEM + REACTION= SOLUTION

Oh my god, that CNN reporter gets on my nerves with her guilt tripping. I heard some guy just yell "shut up!" about halfway through, my sentiments exactly. Right wing, left wing, why does she care what side of the Janus they're on? The Obama drones might be worse than the Bushies, they are actually equal in my eyes.

The first guy "interviewed" (hounded incessantly) reminds me of Peter Griffin, in synchronicity with your Family Guy post...

Yeah, I'm sensing something fishy here. Rev people's emotions up- especially the most extreme on both sides. That's what we're seeing here on the cable news outlets. I have no idea how anyone can watch that stuff at this point in time. I'm ashamed to say I used to watch Fox News and MSNBC but had a major awakening during the run up to the Iraq War- that really snapped me out of my decade-long neo-con spell.

The reporter was obviously baiting the crowd, which isn't hard since most of them seem to be pretty unstable - and none too bright- anyway.

8 years of Bush/Cheney and NOW people are coming out and crying about fascism? God help us. These people are so easy to manipulate it's scary. They're looking for a scapegoat and someone, somewhere is egging them on. Should be an interesting summer.

I have two words-TOXIC OVERLOAD.
In chinese medicine, when the body is overtaxed from poison, the liver is the first target, as its the main cleaner of the body & second largest organ, second only to the skin. Anger, frustration & unbridled emotional tantrums are often cited as symptoms of a toxic liver. I'd dare say a great deal of us are suffering on that level in this point in our industrialized, chemical additive world. Everyone has the right to be angry & dissatisfied, but there are "logical limits" (good old Bunnymen lyric) to how far one get protesting & calling others fascist whilst carrying a 70 lb spare tire on the gut, savagely caught between caustic news-media behemoths waiting to drip-feed you one more feel good rescue story about savage african pirates(but not reporting on WHY its happening, rumor has it the US Navy & other NWO type orgs have been illegally dumping toxic garbage & nuke sludge along the Somali coast, poisoning people & killing the livelihood of many a fisherman...I digress)

I think its time to look a the roots at this juncture in humanity...

cue the flying discs..... :O

I was thinking about how some people equate anger with strength, when in fact it's a symptom of weakness.

The saddest thing about these protests is the pathetic homemade signs- these people don't understand how that kind of amateurism is poison to perceptions of competence in a political movement. But it's also a sign that the financiers have been pulling the plug on the right side of the spectrum- I'm seeing symptoms of this everywhere. No movement can exist without big money- even "grass roots" one.
