Being prone to major geek relapses, I found this cartoon reunion of the cast of Star Trek: The Next Generation oddly stirring. Having had my geek innocence ruined by semiotics and parapolitics, I found the juxtaposition of said reunion and a subplot featuring corporate Evangelicalism battling its Janus twin (reductionist atheism) slightly disturbing. I'm not one to see hidden agendas in every dopey-ass cartoon that crosses my path (not conscious ones, at least), but I can't help but wonder what's the point of all this here.
That being said, as geek fodder, ST:TNG still rules. After that, um...

Haven't watched the episode yet (I kind of despise Family Guy now) but I can say that I am definitely the type to see hidden agendas in dopey-ass cartoons, not that I want to, it's just there with no real explanation as to why or how.
The last time Patrick Stewart was in a Seth McFarlane cartoon (American Dad) he was singing the song Little Girls by Oingo Boingo.
Speaking of Star Trek: Star Trek vs. Star Trek Porn.
