One World Currency topography

Here is a map of L'Aquila, where the Russian President showed off the new "Unity in Diversity" coin to his G8 buddies, just a few days after the Pope outlined his suggestions for the One World Order.

Lynnertic pointed out the double chevron, which I also found fascinating.

How does that Chinese curse go again?

Okay, this might be a dumb question, but isn't a chevron a V-shaped pattern? I had to know more about the coin, so I found this:

This link shows the back of the coin as well - made me think of the painting discussed in your previous post for some reason.

I like the 11 1 11. Is that an upside down 77 at the bottom of the one? 5 stars eh...

Not sure I follow you on this one.

Hey Chris!

Did you watch True Blood tonight? The Fellowship of the Sun takes it to another level. Soldier of the Sun. Anubis Airlines.

Check it out on Hulu, if you missed it.

Cheers.

Oh, forgot to add the following on the One World Currency story: ain't it nice that this was done in Italy, home of the Vatican Church State; just days following Pope Benedict's call for a New World Order.

Life in marvelously interesting times.

The double chevron is right after the word "issue," it looks like the VW/Volkswagon logo, which really has 3 V's which = 6 in Hebrew. 666

Thanks Violator! I'm squinting now.

If "Unity" = Order, and "Diversity" = Chaos, (think "out of many, one"), then that coin really says "Ordo Ab Chao". Everyone's been pointing out really awesome, enlightening stuff about this coin...

It seems that the two L or chevron or sanskrit character are just the signature of the designer that made them.
He's called Luc Luycx (pronounced Lowx, check this for more info http://www.fleur-de-coin.com/eurocoins/lucluycx.asp

he designed the new coins too, I wish I could find more info about him because I've lived in Belgium my entire childhood and I know that there's always more under the surface.
