Just Wondering reminds us that Mikaela's garage workshop is referred to as a "house of horrors" by a comic-relief Decepticon. However, as JW notes, it sounds a lot more like "House of Horus," with the Decepto's cartoon Brooklyn accent.
Two interesting juxtapositions- Sam calling Mikaela while in front of Princeton's University Chapel, and a neon sign behind Mikaela reading "Music," recalling Hathor's role as patron of musicians.

What I'm getting from Transformers is a kind of juniors introduction to Pantheism. Just as 10 years ago when Toy Story 2 came out, I remember hearing stories about young kids thinking their toys came to life when they were out of the room, maybe the more imaginitive of todays youngsters wiil think their parents cars come alive when they're not looking. This coupled with a script so inept that it's dreamlike in its senselessness, could make quite an impact on a less developed mind, I reckon.
What I admire most about Transformers 2 though is it's unashamed jock fascism. Seriously all women, elders, geeks, politicians, conspiracy theorists are portrayed as laughable idiots. The only characters treated with respect are ass-kicking soldiers, ass-kicking robots and state of the art military firepower.
What I really hated about the film was the really crappy cliched soundtrack. If they'd played "America Fuck Yeah!" over the images of foreign countries getting destroyed it would have been so much more poignant.
Being serous, I do like giant robot films and if they'd cut out the unfunny comedy and put in a cool John Carpenter style 80's synth soundtrack and amped up the robot violence it could have been a sci-fi b-movie classic.
Have you noticed the decepticon says what sounds like "easy warrior goddess" at the 1.20 mark?
