CAIRO — Archaeologists have unearthed the massive head of one Egypt's most famous pharoahs who ruled nearly 3,400 years ago, the Egyptian Supreme Council of Antiquities announced Sunday.
The head of Amenhotep III, which alone is about the height of a person, was found in the ruins of the pharaoh's mortuary temple in the southern city of Luxor.
UPDATE: SoapFan found a shot of the actual head. It's fascinating to me how androgynous so much Egyptian art was.

It makes you wonder, Soapie- plus they have the new religion section too. Is this Egypt stuff trying to tell us that the original owners of this planets are on their way back? The fact that the giant head that was unearthed was that of the father of the creator of monotheism is an interesting symbol, no?

I just saw this same story over on AOL and they chose to use a very different photo...The actual stone head! All pointy and elongated like the monotheistic Aten, solar disc, worshipers liked!

Surely the Satellite is the place to add that both William Shatner and Michael J. Fox seem to have cornered the market on Just For Men gray removing hair color!
As I watch Shatner at the Olympic Closing Ceremony, I can't imagine how I had such a terrific crush on him as Captain Kirk! The Priceline commercials nearly killed all those fond memories of Shatner I had but tonight put the headstone on them!
Shatner proudly called Canada the Last Frontier. OK. But he is beyond embarrassing for "Star Trek".
Sorry to be so harsh, but I'm so disappointed!
